The Heart Of A Horse

I was woken up by bright rays of sunshine kissing my cheeks this morning, followed by a choir of birds. I have to say – this is the most incredible way to greet the day! I was working so much recently (too much for my liking) that I had forgotten how lovely lie-ins can be! The fatigue, chaos and lack of motivation just drove me mad recently, and even though I still have plenty on my hands – I decided to go out and enjoy the day, even if only for an hour.

As always I wandered off to my usual place –the farm fields just outside of Bath. To my surprise I was greeted by three lovely horses I hadn’t seen there before; they were nodding at me as soon as they saw me approaching from the distance. One of the bigger horses gave the other one an encouraging push with its head, so that it would come to say hello to me! I giggled and joined in the greeting ceremony. It is lovely and very special to me to gain approval from such a majestic creature, as I was always obsessed with horses, being an avid horse rider when I was younger. I think it is amazing when such a hard-working and very often mistreated animal has no sense of fear towards humans, just complete trust and love.

Horse With Kind Heart Fields

Beautiful Horses And Trees In FieldsThis small interaction left me feeling truly in tune with everything around me, and made me think a lot about all the judgements and expectations we project onto others; how it all comes from needing perfection, yet is inevitably followed by frustration when we or others can’t attain it. These three magical creatures today have truly inspired me to see everything in a slightly different light. I know I want to be the person who accepts everyone as they are with my heart wide open. I want to surprise people with kindness and show that being vulnerable is okay, and that our true strength lies within those fragile moments. Let our hearts be big, full of love and understanding, as in the end it is all that we need in order to make this world a better place. Lots of love, Ursule

In 2010 I left my home in Lithuania and decided to move to a foreign country to try and find myself. I ended up in England, where I graduated in Photography and launched my knitwear business - 'Where Bears Go'. A few years have passed and I realised that there is so much more I wanted to express, and this is how this website was born. Within this personal magical place, all of my creativity, soul and dreams are stored. I live in Bath together with my wizard husband and two cats who just decided to appear in our lives.
